John Walsh, the architect who designed Horizon Mudgee returned to the house last month to finally see the finished product.
“To visit again three years after completion and to actually have the honor to stay in such a superb setting was a great pleasure. It’s not often an architect has time to absorb and reflect on his work. The end result is nothing short of fantastic. The house works well architecturally due to the sense of place and context. The position of Horizon sitting on the brow of the hill, with the expansive surrounding views in every direction creates a sense of endless space. The house has been finished simply and with a consistent vision across all elements including interiors and landscaping. It all hangs together beautifully.”
